Engagement Process

How a confidential advisory relationship begins. Every step is designed to protect your privacy and ensure mutual fit before any commitment is made.

We follow a structured five-step process that normalises confidentiality, sets clear expectations, and ensures that any engagement is custom-scoped to your family's specific situation. There is no cost or obligation for the initial discovery conversation.

1

Confidential Introductory Discovery Conversation

A private discussion, by video or in person, to understand your family's educational context, ambitions, timeline, and any specific questions or concerns. We listen more than we talk. This is your opportunity to evaluate our approach, and ours to understand whether your needs align with what we do. All information shared is treated in confidence regardless of whether an engagement proceeds.

2

Mutual Fit Evaluation

After the discovery conversation, both parties independently assess whether there is a strong basis for working together. We will be candid if we believe another advisory practice would serve you better. We only proceed when there is genuine alignment between your family's requirements and our capabilities.

3

Custom Written Proposal

If there is mutual interest in proceeding, we prepare a bespoke written proposal. This document defines the scope of work, delivery structure, timeline, key milestones, team composition, and commercial terms. Every proposal is written for the specific family. We do not use templates or off-the-shelf packages.

4

Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement and Formal Agreement

Before any substantive advisory work begins, both parties execute a mutual non-disclosure agreement protecting all shared information. The formal engagement letter is then signed, setting out the agreed scope, terms, and professional obligations. This step is standard practice in family-office advisory and reflects the seriousness with which we treat confidentiality.

5

Commencement of Advisory Work

With the formal framework in place, advisory work commences according to the agreed timeline. Regular strategic reviews, progress reports, and open communication channels ensure the engagement remains responsive to your family's evolving needs throughout its duration.
